According to the St. Clair County Coroner’s Office, Johnson, who lived in the 500 block of Augusta Street in Mascoutah, was struck by a vehicle while walking along Green Mount Road near Eckert’s. Emergency responders rushed her to St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in O’Fallon, where she was pronounced dead at 4:35 a.m. on August 21, 2025.
