Chris Piper, New Alexandria Lions Demolition Derby Member Has Died

New Alexandria Lions Demolition Derby member this weekend. Lion Chris Piper was part of our pulling team and good friend. He took pride in running the pullers for years. He steppedback to chase another passion the last few years but he always checked in to see if there was anything they needed. A very soft spoken man with the heart of gold.

Was a very nice guy to work with. Our thoughts and prayers are with him and his family. We will have a memorial service at the season championship before the show. Until we meet again good and faithful Lion, Piper untimely death has left those closest to him grieving a loss that words can hardly capture.

Chris was more than just a resident of New Alexandria. He was a friend to many, a source of strength to those in need, and a steadfast presence in the lives of those he loved. A devoted son and caring brother, Chris’s warmth and selflessness defined his character. In every interaction, he brought calm, compassion, and genuine connection. He was the life of the party.

While the cause of his passing remains undisclosed at this time, what remains clear is the deep mark he left on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. His family and friends are devastated, and the broader community stands in solidarity with them, remembering a man who gave so much of himself to others.

The Piper family will be announcing Chris’s obituary, visitation, and funeral arrangements in the coming days. In memory of Chris Piper, family, friends and the community reflect on a life that, while cut short, was lived with great love and purpose. He will be deeply missed but forever be remembered.
