Ayden James Molinari Obituary, Death; Teen killed, passenger injured in Lumpkin County wreck

A 17-year-old teenager from Dahlonega lost his life and a passenger sustained injuries in a single-vehicle accident early Monday on Wimpy Mill Road in Lumpkin County.

According to the Georgia State Patrol, the incident occurred at approximately 6:42 a.m. on September 1, when a 2008 Ford Mustang veered off the road while navigating a curve. The vehicle went onto the northern shoulder, collided with a power pole and guard rail, and subsequently overturned into a creek.

The driver, identified as Ayden James Molinari, aged 17, from Dahlonega, succumbed to his injuries. A 16-year-old passenger was transported to the hospital with minor injuries, as reported by troopers.

The GSP’s Troop B Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team (SCRT) is currently aiding in the investigation.
