David L. May and Sontaya May Obituary, Cause of Death; Woodinville Couple Identified in Murder-Suicide After 17 Years of Marriage
Deputies responded to a residence on 102nd Avenue Southeast, where they discovered the couple deceased inside. Officials confirmed that no one else was present at the home.
“Detectives do not believe there is any ongoing threat to the public,” the sheriff’s office said in a statement. The Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office will release the official cause and manner of death following further examination.
The Mays had been married for more than 17 years and lived together in Woodinville.

Sontaya May, originally from Bangkok, Thailand, built a life in Washington after attending several schools across the U.S. and abroad, including Arlington Heights High School in Fort Worth, TX, Simon Sanchez High School in Guam, and Governor John R. Rogers High School. She later studied at Pacific Lutheran University.
Professionally, Sontaya worked at Zurich Insurance and was known for her dedication and warmth.
