In the early hours of Sunday, May 18, 2025, a night intended for camaraderie and celebration turned tragic when gunfire erupted outside the Midtown Daiquiri Bar & Grill on Log Cabin Drive.
The incident claimed the lives of three Macon residents: 28-year-old Jedarrius Meadows Jr., 32-year-old Javonta Faulks, and 24-year-old Javarsia Meadows. Six others sustained injuries in the shooting, which occurred around midnight in the bar’s parking lot.

According to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to reports of a shooting at the Midtown Daiquiri Bar & Grill shortly after midnight. Upon arrival, they discovered multiple individuals with gunshot wounds.
Emergency medical personnel transported several victims to local hospitals, while others were taken by private vehicles. The three aforementioned men were pronounced dead at the scene.
