Jimmy Nolan Car Accident; Jimmy Nolan Passed Away in Fatal Vehicle Crash
It is with deep sorrow that we report the passing of Jimmy Nolan, a former University of Utah football player and respected high school football coach. Jimmy tragically died in a car accident in South Carolina on September 10, 2020, which also claimed the life of his youngest daughter, Micki.
The Tragic Incident
On the morning of September 10, 2020, Jimmy’s wife, Taran, was driving with their three younger children—Micki, Daisy, and Jimmy Jr.—on U.S. Highway 521 near Georgetown, South Carolina. While on the phone with Jimmy, Taran’s vehicle was struck head-on by another car traveling in the wrong direction.
The collision caused both vehicles to catch fire, and despite rescue efforts, Micki, who was just three years old, did not survive. Taran and the other children sustained severe injuries and were transported to nearby hospitals in critical condition. The driver of the other vehicle, later identified as 49-year-old Glendora Holmes, also perished in the crash.
