The Sioux City community is mourning the loss of Tyler Den Besten, a beloved son, partner, and friend, who passed away recently. Tyler had been working at Thrasher Foundation Repair since October 31, 2024, where he was valued for his dedication, work ethic, and friendly personality.

Tyler lived in Sioux City, Iowa, and was in a loving relationship with Lucy Clay. Friends and family remember him as a kindhearted individual who was always willing to help others and bring positivity into any situation. His warmth, humor, and generosity left a lasting impression on all who knew him.

In the wake of his passing, Tyler’s family has announced an Honor Walk in preparation for organ donation, a final act of selflessness that will help save and improve the lives of others. The Honor Walk will take place at MercyOne Hospital, 801 5th Street, Sioux City, IA, on Sunday, August 10, with attendees asked to gather in the ICU waiting room on the 5th floor by 10:45 a.m.

While plans for a viewing remain uncertain, the family encourages anyone wishing to say goodbye to attend the Honor Walk as a way to find closure and pay respects.
