Jason Wilkerson Obituary-Death News; Remembering Coach Jason Wilkerson: A Pillar of the Lincoln Community
The Lincoln community is mourning the sudden loss of Coach Jason Wilkerson—a devoted father, proud grandfather, business owner, and lifelong local whose presence shaped lives for generations.
Known for his kindness, warmth, and dedication, Jason’s impact extended from the football field to community events, fundraisers, and everyday moments where he offered encouragement and connection.
As Lincoln’s special teams coach, he transformed the program into a source of pride. With passion, persistence, and an eye for potential, he recruited athletes from all backgrounds, urging them to “just give kicking a try.”
For Jason, it wasn’t only about the game—it was about growth, grit, teamwork, and becoming part of something bigger. His players trusted him to show up early, stay late, and believe in them even when they doubted themselves, carrying his lessons of perseverance and confidence into all aspects of life.
Beyond coaching, Jason owned TCJW Holdings and Royal West Roofing, bringing integrity and leadership to his work. A graduate of Lincoln High School in Ypsilanti, Michigan, he stayed deeply connected to his roots in Willis and Belleville, always giving back to the communities that shaped him.
Above all, Jason cherished his wife Tammy, his children, and his grandchildren, celebrating their achievements with pride and love.
Lincoln will deeply miss Coach Wilkerson, but his legacy lives on in the athletes he mentored, the businesses he built, the friendships he nurtured, and the family he adored. His influence will continue to inspire for years to come.
