According to a news release from the GBI, the Warren County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call around 3:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 19, 2025, regarding a shooting at a residence in the 200 block of Phelps Drive. Responding deputies arrived at the scene to find Daphne Meyers suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Despite lifesaving efforts, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators say an initial inquiry into the incident revealed that a domestic dispute had occurred between Jeffery and Meyers, during which Jeffery allegedly used a firearm to fatally shoot her.
