With broken hearts, we share the passing of Kalielah Davis, who tragically passed away on September 5, 2025, at just 18 years old. Kalielah’s death came after a senseless act of gun violence on Bay Avenue in Columbus, where she was fatally shot late that evening. Despite the quick response of emergency crews, she was pronounced at Piedmont Columbus Regional shortly after 11:26 p.m.

Kalielah’s sudden passing has left her family, friends, and community devastated. She was a vibrant young woman filled with promise, laughter, and love. Known for her warm smile and kindhearted spirit, she had a way of brightening the lives of everyone she encountered. To those who knew her, Kalielah was more than just a daughter, sister, and friend—she was a source of joy, encouragement, and strength.

Although her life was cut short far too soon, her memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved her. The community now mourns the loss of a beautiful young soul whose future held so much potential.
