Lenger Villalobos Munoz, age 37, was fatally shot on the North Side of San Antonio Friday evening, according to the Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office. The exact cause and manner of death are still pending official determination.

San Antonio police responded to reports of gunfire around 9:40 p.m. on June 13 near the 4000 block of Naco Perrin Boulevard. Authorities say another man in his mid-30s confronted Munoz at the rear of a building and opened fire.

The shooter chased Munoz inside the structure while continuing to fire shots as they ascended the stairs. Munoz was found collapsed in an upstairs hallway with multiple gunshot wounds and was declared dead at the scene.

Police believe the two men were known to each other and had prior disputes. Witnesses saw the shooter flee through the back exit and leave the area in a vehicle that was later discovered abandoned near Highway 281 and Wurzbach Parkway.

As of the latest update, the suspect remains at large and the investigation is ongoing. Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward to assist with the case.
