Leslie Davis Obituary-Death News; Palmer Park Woman Killed In Fatal Landover Shooting
Leslie Yvette Davis, a Landover grandmother and reverend, was shot and killed in her bedroom while babysitting her four young grandkids over Mother’s Day weekend.
Leslie’s daughters say when they went to pick up the grandkids on Saturday afternoon, two of the kids (6 year old twins) were walking around the house saying “Grandma is dead.” The other two kids, ages 10 months and 2 years old, were in the bedroom with their grandma but were unharmed physically.
The Davis family says Ring doorbell video showed a man standing in the front yard of the house and opening fire into the bedroom window. According to the family, police told them it may have been a case of mistaken identity, with someone targeting the house thinking someone else lived there.
Leslie Davis’ family says she was incredibly kind and caring to everyone she met. She worked as a travel agent and was deeply involved in her church community. Her family says they hope someone comes forward with answers soon.
