A woman has tragically died following a late-night crash in Sumter on Wednesday, according to the Sumter County Coroner’s Office. The incident occurred around 11:15 p.m. near the intersection of Broad Street and Camden Highway.
Coroner Robbie Baker confirmed the identity of the victim as Libby Weston, 58, of Sumter County. Authorities say her vehicle veered off the road and struck a utility pole. Emergency responders transported her to Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.
