Lord Charles O’Hagan Obituary-Death News; Queen Elizabeth’s godson Lord Charles O’Hagan Dies After Suffering Head Injury

Lord Charles O’Hagan, a godson of the late Queen Elizabeth and a Conservative peer who also served as an MEP, has tragically died following a head injury. The former page of honour for the Queen died at North Devon Hospital last month at the age of 79 after suffering from a subdural haematoma, an inquest has been told.

Lord O’Hagan, whose full name was Charles Towneley Strachey O’Hagan, was the 4th Baron O’Hagan and lived in Devon. The late Queen, who died aged 96 in 2022, become his godmother before she ascended to the throne and was still known as Princess Elizabeth.

His cause of death was a subdural hematoma, a condition caused by a severe head injury that can result in a burst of blood vessels. No details were available on how O’Hagan suffered the head injury.
