Macahri Washington-Parker Obituary-Death News; Tuskegee University Mourns the Loss of Mechanical Engineering Junior Macahri Washington-Parker

Tuskegee University is mourning the passing of Macahri Washington-Parker, a junior Mechanical Engineering major whose leadership and service left a lasting mark on the campus community.

A native of Montgomery, Alabama, Macahri was a New Student Orientation leader and an active member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., where he embodied scholarship, fellowship, and service.

University President Dr. Mark A. Brown expressed deep sorrow, urging the Tuskegee family to support one another and utilize the emotional, mental, and spiritual resources available. “We are a community built on care and connection,” he said, emphasizing the importance of standing together during times of grief.

Macahri was known for his warmth, dedication, and willingness to help others succeed. Friends and classmates remember him as compassionate, driven, and uplifting, whether mentoring new students, participating in fraternity events, or collaborating on engineering projects. Faculty recall his determination, curiosity, and positive influence in the classroom.

In response to this loss, Tuskegee University is offering integrated counseling and pastoral services through the Dean of the Chapel, along with group support gatherings to promote collective healing.

President Brown encouraged the campus to honor Macahri’s legacy through continued leadership, service, and compassion. Plans for a memorial or remembrance event will provide the community with an opportunity to celebrate his life and contributions.

Though his time at Tuskegee ended far too soon, Macahri Washington-Parker’s impact—through his dedication, kindness, and example—will continue to inspire those who knew him.
