The victim of a fatal shooting that took place Saturday afternoon in the Haysboro neighborhood has been identified as 23-year-old Madisson Cobb. The Calgary Police Service Homicide Unit continues to investigate the incident and is appealing to the public for any witnesses or information that could help move the case forward.
At approximately 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 19, 2025, police responded to multiple reports of gunshots in a parking garage located in the 8700 block of Horton Road S.W. Upon arrival, officers and emergency medical personnel located a woman suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Despite extensive lifesaving efforts, the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
The victim has now been confirmed as Madisson Cobb, a young woman in her early twenties whose death has shocked the local community. An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday, July 22, 2025, to confirm the exact cause of death.
Investigators believe the shooting was targeted, though no suspects have yet been taken into custody. The Calgary Police Service released surveillance footage showing a white Toyota RAV4 bearing British Columbia licence plate PP322J fleeing the scene. It is believed that the vehicle had been parked on the fourth level of the garage prior to the shooting and is directly connected to the incident.
Madisson’s death has devastated her family, friends, and many who knew her. A bright and compassionate young woman, Madisson was deeply loved and admired for her warm heart and generous spirit.
