Puneet Sohi Obituary-Death News; Gurdwara Sahib And Punjabi School Servants Venu And Puneet Sohi Passes Away In Accident

It is with deep sorrow and unimaginable grief that we announce the sudden and heartbreaking passing of Venu and Puneet Sohi of Roseville, California, who tragically lost their lives in a devastating accident.

This loss has left a profound void in the hearts of their loved ones, the Gurdwara Sahib community, and the Punjabi School where they served selflessly for years.

Venu and Puneet were not just valued members of our community—they were pillars of service, humility, and love, known for their unwavering dedication to Sikhi, education, and the welfare of others.

As devoted sevadars (volunteers) at the Gurdwara Sahib, they gave of themselves freely and without hesitation, whether they were preparing langar, assisting in school activities, organizing community events, or simply being present for those in need. Their kindness, warmth, and quiet strength touched countless lives.

The tragic accident that took their lives has left the community reeling. The Sohi children, who were also involved in the accident, have survived and are currently undergoing treatment in the hospital.

We ask everyone to please keep them in your prayers, along with the entire extended family, as they navigate this sudden and devastating loss. The road to healing will be long, and they will need our collective love, strength, and support.

Venu and Puneet’s commitment to the Punjabi School was extraordinary. They saw education as a powerful tool for connecting the next generation with their roots, language, and spiritual identity.

Whether it was helping students prepare for programs, organizing cultural functions, or simply being there to support teachers and families, they gave generously of their time and energy. Their absence will be deeply felt by students, parents, and educators alike.

What made Venu and Puneet so beloved was not just what they did, but how they did it—with humility, joy, and deep devotion. They asked for no recognition, sought no praise, and yet their contributions lifted and inspired everyone around them.

They were the kind of people who saw service not as a duty, but as a way of life, as a path to spiritual fulfillment and community connection. Their faith in Waheguru was evident in every aspect of their lives. They lived with integrity, kindness, and grace.

Their home was filled with love, laughter, and the spirit of Sikhi. Their commitment to seva, sangat (community), and simran (remembrance of God) was unwavering. In life, they were united by purpose and love; in death, they leave behind a legacy that will guide and inspire us all.

In this time of sorrow, we turn to Waheguru for comfort and strength. We pray that their beautiful souls find eternal peace and that their family is blessed with courage and resilience.

No words can capture the depth of this loss, but the impact Venu and Puneet made will never be forgotten. Their legacy of love, service, and community will live on in the hearts of those they touched.

Sikh prayer service (Antim Ardaas and Bhog) will be announced in the coming days, where the community will gather to honor their memory and pray for peace and healing. In the meantime, messages of condolence and support may be shared with the family and the Gurdwara Sahib committee.

We humbly ask everyone to keep the Sohi children and extended family in your thoughts and ardaas during this incredibly painful time. May Waheguru bless the departed souls and provide shelter, guidance, and hope to those left behind. Venu and Puneet’s lives were a testament to seva, love, and faith. May we carry forward their legacy with compassion and strength.
