The Hinesville and Walthourville communities are mourning the loss of Ronald Deleon, fondly known as Ron, a beloved local business owner and dedicated family man, who passed away unexpectedly.

Ronald was the proud Owner and CEO of Southeast Meats and Seafood and the proprietor of the well-known Walthourville Meat Market. His passing marks a profound loss not only to his loved ones, but to countless friends, customers, and neighbors who admired his work ethic, generosity, and ever-present smile.

Originally from Miami, Florida, Ronald attended South Dade Senior High School, where he was a proud Buccaneer. Those early years helped shape the man he would become driven, dependable, and full of heart. Ron eventually made his home in Hinesville, Georgia, where he established roots and built a life centered around family, hard work, and service to others.

In his role as owner of Southeast Meats and Seafood, Ronald quickly earned a reputation as a trusted provider and a passionate entrepreneur. With a deep understanding of his craft and a dedication to quality, he brought a level of excellence and personal care to every customer interaction.

The Walthourville Meat Market, under his leadership, became more than just a place to shop—it was a gathering spot where neighbors came not only for fresh cuts of meat but for friendly conversation and a sense of community.

Ronald’s presence extended far beyond the counter of his shop. He was known throughout Liberty County as a man of principle—someone who supported local causes, mentored young people, and never hesitated to lend a helping hand.

His generosity touched many lives, whether through quiet acts of kindness or enthusiastic participation in community events. He had an innate ability to bring people together, fostering a sense of unity in the neighborhoods he served.

Friends and loved ones describe Ronald as a man of deep conviction, who balanced a strong business acumen with humility and compassion. He was equally devoted to his family, who always came first in his heart. Those close to him speak of his laughter, his loyalty, and the joy he found in simple things—good food, good company, and a job well done.

His unexpected passing has left many in shock, with an outpouring of grief seen across social media and within the community. Customers, fellow business owners, and longtime friends have shared tributes and memories of the man who impacted their lives in such meaningful ways.

“Ron was more than just a businessman he was a pillar in this town,” one neighbor shared. “He treated everyone like family and ran his business with integrity and love. It’s hard to imagine Walthourville without him.”

Plans for a memorial service and celebration of Ronald’s life will be shared in the coming days. As the community grieves this tremendous loss, there is also a growing call to honor his legacy by continuing the values he embodied: kindness, hard work, and commitment to one another.
