Ross Olson Obituary-Death News; Ross Olson, Staff Member of Krämer Motorcycles USA Dies in Accident

The MotoAmerica racing community is mourning the devastating loss of Ross Olson, a talented young racer and technician from Minnesota, who tragically passed away in an accident.

At just 20 years old, Ross had already made a significant impact in the world of motorcycle racing, earning the respect and admiration of his peers, colleagues, and competitors.

Ross’s journey into motorsports began at an early age, first as a passionate snowmobile enthusiast and racer. His skill, determination, and love for speed quickly translated into the motorcycle racing scene, where he found both his calling and his professional home.

As a staff member at Krämer Motorcycles USA, Ross contributed to some of the organization’s most important projects, including playing a pivotal role in the development of the Krämer APX-350 MA and in the successful launch of the Parts Unlimited Talent Cup By Motul this year.

His dedication to his craft went far beyond mechanical expertise. Ross was deeply committed to supporting young riders, many of whom looked up to him as both a mentor and a friend.

His approachable personality, enthusiasm for racing, and willingness to share his knowledge made him an integral figure within the paddock. For the competitors in the Talent Cup—especially the younger riders—his loss is deeply personal.

Joe Karvonen, founder of Krämer Motorcycles USA and a close friend and mentor to Ross, spoke with heartfelt emotion about the young man’s journey:

“I have known Ross since he was 12 years old. He started racing and working with us at Krämer Motorcycles USA when he was 16. In all of my time in the motorcycle industry, I have never worked with a more dedicated and motivated person, especially at his age. He learned so fast and always wanted to do the best he could for Krämer and our customers. Ross was truly someone special. To my wife and me, he was more than an employee. He was part of our family, and losing him is the hardest thing we have been through. I cannot thank everyone enough for being a positive influence on Ross, helping to make him the great man that he was. We and so many others will greatly miss him.”

Ross’s dedication was matched only by his warmth and authenticity. He approached life with a quiet determination and an ever-present sense of humility, never forgetting the people who helped shape his path. Whether he was in the workshop fine-tuning a motorcycle, mentoring a young racer, or sharing a laugh with teammates, Ross brought energy and positivity to every interaction.

His work ethic was evident to all who knew him—he was the first to step up when challenges arose and the last to walk away from a problem until it was solved. Those who worked alongside him say his passion for motorcycles was contagious, inspiring others to push themselves both on and off the track.

In the wake of his passing, the MotoAmerica paddock has united in grief, sharing stories and tributes that highlight not just Ross’s talent, but the kindness and generosity that defined him.

The thoughts and deepest condolences of the entire motorcycle racing community go out to Ross’s family, friends, colleagues, and the Krämer Motorcycles USA team. His time with us was far too short, yet his influence will endure for years to come in the machines he helped build, the riders he encouraged, and the countless lives he touched.

Ross Olson will be remembered as more than a gifted technician and racer—he will be remembered as a young man with limitless potential, an unwavering commitment to excellence, and a heart full of generosity. His legacy will forever be part of the MotoAmerica family.
